Cleo F. Burgemeister, 59, of Redwood Falls passed away Monday, September 15, 2008 at the Redwood Area Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in Redwood Falls with burial in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
The Nelson-Martin Funeral Service of Redwood Falls is in charge of the arrangements.

Cleo Fay Burgemeister, the daughter of Harold and Pearl (Reck) Burgemeister, was born May 21, 1949 in Harvey, North Dakota. She resided with her family in Drake, North Dakota until her family moved to Redwood Falls. Cleo grew up in Redwood Falls, graduating from Redwood Falls High School in 1967. She continued her education at Mankato Cosmetology School, graduating in 1968. After receiving her degree, Cleo worked in New Ulm before returning home to Redwood Falls where she resided. She began her employment with Control Data, later Artesyn Technologies, in Redwood Falls in 1969. Cleo was a very dedicated worker and remained with the company for over 39 years.

Cleo was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Redwood Falls. She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and baking, sewing, and being surrounded by family and friends. Cleo was an avid Vikings fan.

She is survived by her sisters Linda (LeRoy) Landsberger of St. Cloud, and Patricia (Michael) Vollmer of Redwood Falls; her sister-in-law Char Burgemeister of Redwood Falls; and nephews Tom (Nancy) Landsberger, Jim (Patty) Landsberger, Bob (Melissa) Landsberger, Eric (Lynn) Pettis-Burgemeister, Brian Burgemeister, and Dustin Burgemeister. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Pearl; her brother Rodney; nephew Patrick; and three nieces.
