Age 78, of Morgan died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Redwood Area Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 from St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Morgan with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, July 21, 2008, from 4 until 7 p.m., with a C.C.W. rosary at 4:30 and a prayer service at 6:30 pm., all at the Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Redwood Falls. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at the church for one hour prior to services. The Nelson-Martin Funeral Service of Redwood Falls is handling the arrangements. Joyce Ann Koenig, the daughter of Ira and Mollietta (Leonard) Reynolds, was born July 22, 1929 at Milroy. She received her education in Milroy and Redwood Falls. On November 29, 1947, Joyce married John Koenig at St. Michaels’ Catholic Church in Morgan. She enjoyed life as a homemaker in Morgan and was an avid arts and crafter. John died on November 29, 1997 and Joyce continued to reside in Morgan until 2005 when she moved to Johnson Park Place in Redwood Falls. She is survived by her sons Steven Koenig of Redwood Falls, and Kenneth Koenig of Gibbon; daughters-in-law Debra of Redwood Falls, and Corliss of Gibbon; grandchildren Michelle Koenig of Annandale, Shawn Koenig of Redwood Falls, Nicole Koenig of Redwood Falls, David Koenig of Chaska, and Christina Koenig of Gibbon; great-grandchildren Jonathan Koenig and Heather Langness of Gibbon; and sister Alice Olson of Deer River. She was preceded in death by her husband John; her brother Leroy Reynolds; and sisters Marie, Betty, and Delores. Blessed be her memory. |
