She is survived by her children: Mark (Beverly) of Great Falls, Montana, Matthew of Lamberton, Luke of Wabasso, and Rachelle (Philip) Graff of Comfrey; and four grandchildren: Jael (Justin), Jesse, Danyette (Fernando), and Tyler. Also surviving are her sisters, Cathryn Pilaczynski of Canby, Oregon, Elsie Heacock of Garretson, South Dakota, and Inez Siolkowski of Minneapolis; her brothers, Lyle of Lamberton, Dan of Wabasso, Henry of Willmar, and Roger of Brooklyn, New York and Gordon of Wallkill, New York; and many nieces and nephews. She was loved by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and two brothers.
Dorothy had a very generous heart and she always loved to help people. After she had raised her children she worked for many elderly people as a caretaker. Her interests were sewing, quilting, cooking, gardening and crocheting. She loved to make quilts for family and friends and also sent quilts to disaster stricken areas. She had a kind heart and spirit and she will be missed by everyone who knew her. She had a strong faith in God and His Kingdom and was unafraid to speak up about her faith. Her belief in God's promise of a paradise earth sustained her through her illness and that strength kept her family strong. |
