Tyler Panitzke, 17, of Redwood Falls died unexpectedly on Monday, September 22, 2008 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2008 from St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls with burial in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, September 26, 2008 from 4:30 until 8 p.m. and will continue on Saturday for one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that memorials be made to St. John Lutheran School.

Tyler Lee Panitzke, the son of Randall Scott Panitzke and Joyce Ann (Zimmerli) Panitzke, was born September 27, 1990 in Redwood Falls. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. Tyler grew up in Redwood Falls and attended elementary school at St. John Lutheran School in Redwood Falls. He was a senior at Redwood Valley High School at the time of his death.

Tyler was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. He enjoyed the outdoors – and in particular hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and farming. This past summer Tyler worked for the City of Redwood Falls and was a personal care attendant at Divine Home.

He is survived by his parents Randy and Joyce Panitzke of Redwood Falls; brothers Chris Panitzke of Renville, and Mike Panitzke at home; sisters Megan Panitzke and Shelby Panitzke, both at home; grandparents Al and Darlene Zimmerli of Renville, and Leroy and Rosemary Panitzke of Belview; Courtney Ochs of Burnsville; and niece Ava Ochs-Panitzke of Burnsville; as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Tyler was preceded in death by his uncle Glen Zimmerli.
