Florence Weber, 84, of Morgan died Sunday, September 28, 2008 at Countryside Retirement Community in Sleepy Eye. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2008 from St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Morgan with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, from 4 until 8 p.m., with a Parish Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m., all at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Visitation will continue on Thursday at the church for one hour prior to services.

Florence Eleanor Weber, the daughter of Herman and Cecelia (Reding) Koll, was born June 6, 1924 in Elrosa, Minnesota. As a young girl, Florence moved with her family to Morgan. She received her schooling in Reding School District 92, St. Michael’s Catholic School, and Morgan High School. Following her schooling, Florence did domestic chores for the Gilfillans and family members.

On July 3, 1944, Florence married Clarence Weber at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Morgan. Together, they farmed east of Morgan. After retiring from farming, the couple moved into Morgan. Clarence died in 1988 and Florence continued to make her home in Morgan until moving to Sleepy Eye two years.

She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, its Altar Society and CCW. Florence was also active in the Town and Country Extension Group and the Gil Mor Auxiliary. She enjoyed raising her 12 children, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Florence is survived by her children Ron (Ann) Weber of Burnsville, Connie (Reinhold) Mathiowetz of Marshall, Barry (Ann) Weber of Morgan, Bev (Chuck) Salisbury of Minnetonka, Russ (Marietta) Weber of Morgan, Mary (Garth) Felty of Minnetonka, Jan (Jeff) Master of Minnetonka, Suzy (Brad) Blomeke of Morgan, Sandy (Roger) Kettner of Morton, Brenda (Steve) Davis of Winfield, Illinois, Jim (Debbie) Weber of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Doug (April) Weber of Sleepy Eye. Also surviving are 39 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and siblings Roman (Hazel) Koll of Morgan, Delores Rothmeier of Olivia, Dorothy Kalkhoff of Morgan, Jerome (Marion) Koll of Sleepy Eye, Leroy Koll of Austin, and Mary Lou Mathiowetz of Leavenworth. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clarence; her grandson Jeremy Mathiowetz; three brothers; and one sister.
